Windows 10 boot menu

3/30/2015

If you have installed more than one operating system on your computer, you can configure their boot sequence as described here.

1. Start Windows 10 and wait until its boot is complete.

2. Open the Advanced system settings.

3. Under the Startup and Recovery section click Settings.

Startup and Recovery settings

4. From the drop-down menu select the operating system you want to set as default.

Set the default operating system

5. Adjust how long the list of installed operating systems should be displayed before the default operating system boots. The default value is 30 seconds. By changing this value, you can extend or shorten the time within which the boot menu is displayed.

6. Click OK (twice) when you're done.

Note. If the delay time is too short, you might be not able to select the operating system, that you may want to start up instead of the default one. Therefore it is recommended to give it at least three seconds.
